Vendor Criteria and Guidelines

The deadline to apply for a vendor space is: Friday April 27th, 2012
This is a juried show. A signed and returned application indicates your intent to comply with the following guidelines and rules.
Only art and fine crafts made by the exhibitor will be allowed. Work must be original and produced by the artist/craftsperson.
1- Exhibitors must submit a clear written description of ALL work to be displayed. All work must be juried and categories will be limited in order to reduce duplication of items and to ensure a balanced show. Exhibitors must place themselves in a maximum of two categories or place themselves in the MISC. category. CCAC reserves the right to remove any non-juried item.
2- Fine craft is defined by the following criteria:
- contemporary and traditional craft work that is cutting-edge and ensures the highest standard of workmanship
- work that must not seek to reproduce or restore, but rather must be innovative in its use of materials and aesthetic vision and also reflects the signature of the individual maker
3- Please be considerate of others during loading/unloading. Please move your vehicle as quickly as possible to the designated vendor parking area. Vendors must be in place by 8am and completely ready with cars moved to the designated vendor parking no later than 8:30am, with the show starting at 9am.
4- Booths must be manned at all times. Exhibitors are responsible for the appearance of their booth, including leaving a clean area upon break-down. No exhibitor display will extend outside of their designated booth space.
5- Discount sales or signs are not allowed. No solicitations or high pressure sales are allowed.
6- All applications must be postmarked by the deadline date.
7- No cancellation refunds will be made after May 16th.
8- The show will be held rain or shine. No cancellation. Each exhibitor will be responsible for his/her own protective covering.
9- Please make sure to fill out your application fully and correctly for consideration.
The non-member entry fee for art and fine craft vendors is $50. The fee for CCAC members is $45. (A membership application can be found on the website www.cherokeeartsccouncil.org).

Presented by the Cherokee County Arts Council
An art, fine craft and garden show in the grassy park at Murphy’s L&N Depot. Up to fifty applicants will be selected to celebrate local art, music and plants in the spring!
Date: Saturday June 2nd, 2012
Time: 9am – 4pm
Setup: 6:00am June 2nd until 8:30am **
Breakdown: After 4pm June 2nd
Space Size: Approximately 12 ft. by 12 ft.
Fee: $45. * see guidelines
Submission requirements:
1-Fully completed and signed application
2-Two photos, one of your work and one of your booth display
3-Space fee check payable to the Cherokee County Arts Council
4-All applications MUST be postmarked by the deadline date
Application Deadline: Friday, April 27h, 2011
Cancellation refund date: Friday, May 16th, 2011
** Early set-up may begin after 8pm on Friday, June 1st; however, no security will be present, so do not leave any items of value.

If I am selected as an exhibitor for the 2012 Art, Music and Garden Festival, I agree to abide by all the rules and regulations accompanying this application. I agree to hold the Cherokee County Arts Council and the Town of Murphy free from any and all claims and liability related to any injury, damages, or theft caused to persons or property while said premises are occupied under this contact. This includes damage, injury or loss of any type from set up to removal of exhibits. All items offered for sale shall be items I have personally made/created.
