Donate Your Arts Supplies to Help our Schools

The Cherokee County Arts Council is collecting art supplies to help our county schools.  Art and music teachers constantly struggle to make their supplies stretch, while still trying to  deliver quality programming for their students. We hope that you will consider donating your surplus, or supplies you no longer use to help alleviate this problem.  The Arts Council accepts any art supplies;  and in addition we have asked the schools to make a list of items that they desperately need.  Below you will find the Schools’ wish list:

acrylic paint,            card stock,                   lots of assorted paper,               canvas,

drawing pens and drawing/shading pencils,                 colored pencils and pencil sharpeners,

IPod and 3 docking stationswith remotes (160 GB- this is so the music teacher does not have to haul ALL the music, lessons and instruments  in between her three schools)

Please bring any item you wish to donate to the Arts Council office in the Valley River Merchants Building at 33 Valley River Avenue, in downtown Murphy.

All gifts are tax deductible under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Service.
