Unaka artist, Patti Gilley, is known for her wildlife paintings. Her acrylic renderings run the gambit from moose and bears, to horses and chickens, and even include old cars and barns if the scene demands it. Patti incorporates not only what she sees but what she feels about the subject of her painting and that makes them come to life on canvas. Striving to paint as realistic as possible, takes a lot of time and patients, but the finished product is well worth it. Her paintings have been described as, “photographic quality with an artistic eye”.
Her work has received numerous awards at art shows across the southeastern United States, and is part of private collections in this country, Germany, United Kingdom, and France.
Patti’s paintings are available for purchase, on line at, www.pattigilley.com , Appalachian Heritage Crafters in Murphy, NC, Stecoah Artisan Gallery in Robbinsville, NC, Mountain Mist Gallery in Cashiers, NC, art shows listed on her website, and at her studio in Unaka by appointment.
