December 2025 | Graciela Laurent

the CCAC presents
of Blood, Love, and Light

December 2025 in the Center Gallery

This a portrait series invites viewers to see people without labels. Graciela Laurent presents each subject without captions or identifiers, removing assumptions about identity, background, or story. The work asks a simple question: if we cannot name what separates us, can we see what we share?

Her portraits are large, direct, and mirror-like. Their scale brings the viewer eye-to-eye with each person, creating a moment of presence and recognition. The images reflect courage, dignity, and the human desire to be seen without judgment.

Graciela’s process is slow and compassionate. Each portrait grows out of conversation, trust, and listening. Many of her subjects are survivors of grief, trauma, or transformation. Others simply want to step into a fuller sense of self. Together, their stories create a quiet unity rooted in empathy.

of Blood, Love, and Light” opened on Friday, December 5th 2025, and remained open to the public through January 1st 2026

Sponsors Help Us Do More!

This exhibit is supported by a Center Gallery Sponsor. Each month, our Center Gallery exhibitions are made possible in part by this sponsorship, which helps us promote the show across print, social media, and our website, and allows us to host a welcoming opening reception with light refreshments. We’re grateful for this partnership, which helps us share artists’ work more widely and create a space where the community can gather, talk about art, and feel at home in the gallery.
