See “Uprooted” before it’s gone!

Jasmin Warnock

Jasmin Warnock’s exhibition Uprooted remains on view in the Center Gallery through the end of February. The show includes printmaking, painting, and a temporary installation piece that will be painted over once the exhibition closes. This is a limited opportunity to experience the full scope of the work in person.

Warnock explores identity and memory through relief woodcut, linocut, monoprint, and screenprinting. Using recurring images of home and nature, she creates a visual timeline shaped by place and experience. The work invites quiet reflection and close looking before it disappears at the end of the month.

On February 28, Paul Strickland opens our Art in Appalachia Storytelling Series with an evening of live storytelling at the CCAC. A professional storyteller and theatre artist based in Kentucky, Strickland brings an extensive repertoire of family-friendly tales, including reimagined folk stories, tall tales, and original works.

He has appeared at major storytelling festivals across the country and served as Teller-in-Residence at the International Storytelling Center in 2024. This performance offers a rare chance to experience the power of spoken story in an intimate setting. Seating is limited, and students attend free.
